Risk'y Children

My client wanted to celebrate her four children, and the fact that they have a tradition of playing the board game ‘Risk’ together. It was also to be a very large painting to grace the wall of her Conservatory.

To capture one likeness is a challenge, so capturing four was a steep hill for me – especially as portraiture is still a relatively small part of my practice and this was early doors! And going big, was just another element of challenge.

However, Liz has been incredibly enthusiastic and supportive of my art, and we walked through the process one step at a time. And I’m delighted to report that there were happy tears on both our parts on the point of the grand reveal!!
