Rachna & Saagar

Rachna asked me if I knew of, or was, a Wedding Artist. I knew of such people – they come to your wedding and paint a large group painting of all the guests. Or paint small groups rapidly during the proceedings. I had no idea if I could do such a thing, but Rachna kindly invited me to the formal day of celebrations. It was a wonderful experience to be there, and a privilege to witness their wedding. I managed to do some sketching, but painting while I was there was not going to happen – I’m far too messy!
 
So instead I painted this portrait of them both. I wanted to capture the deep affection and friendship that is evident in their relationship.
